"PRBot II" (prbot2)

The tension continues between Londoners and the rich sons of oil Sheikhs that like to use the city streets as their personal racetrack.
I'm not sure if there was an isolated incident that led to this, or the cyclist's actions were unprovoked but this has fail written all over it.
Not sure if repost, tried searching Oppo and FP, found nothing.

Wow, they need to arrest that cyclist. Deliberately doing something like that immediately crosses from simply obstructing traffic to road rage (or at least instigation). At least he knew he could only get away with it for a short time... I have seen people try to obstruct roads around here for several minutes, then get mad when they get arrested.

What an asshole. 1) he makes "Londoners" look as assholes 2) he comes off as a racist prick 3) he makes cyclists look like assholes (we are not all assholes, I keep up to traffic up to 60kph) 4) seriously man? car vs bike... we all know who wins this battle

Seriously, if the dude can afford that Lambo, he can afford to run the cyclist over, or at least smack him with the door as he drives by, and then get it repainted.

Okay, while the cyclist is certainly a douche, the lambo driver should have used a horn instead of just revving the engine.
Both are losers IMO, but the cyclist slightly more so.

Agreed. The Lambo driver should have used the horn, but... dat V12.

I believe that horn etiquette is quite different in the UK than stateside. IIRC they use headlights to give right of way and say thanks and the horn is reserved for dire situations only. It is sort of the opposite of India/China horn rules.

he'd need to roll the lambo on it's side to hit him with the door...i'd have just thrown my tea at him.

I don't like the Lambo driver because he has something I can't have.

Insert a car instead of a cyclist and you get what it's like to drive in Atlanta. Just full of oblivous, self-important drivers.
Rant over. Thanks for the soap box to stand on.

According to the highway code you should only use the horn to make someone aware of your presence. I'd say this works. I'd have definitely used the horn in this instance and consider it justified.

I guess but still, it seemed obnoxious. He could have flashed his headlights or hell, yelled excuse me out the window.

I figure the dickhead in the Lambo hasn't heard the word "no," enough in his life. Fuck that guy. The cyclist is being a dick but in the "murdered out" Lamborghini, I just see another member of the outlaw elite who thinks that he's above the law and shouldn't have to face consequences for being as asshat.

I get the feeling these are the kind of cyclists who spite cars by riding on the street when there's a freshly repaved sidewalk following that same road. I get that all the time where I live. I can understand when the sidewalk is in poor condition, or busy, but there's plenty of freshly paved sidewalks (I live in a suburb, so it's not a "city" city) that are very suitable for high speed cycling. And I'm a cyclist.

Nah, it gets like that in London. Sooo many ridiculous cars shipped in from the Middle East, that you can head down to Kensington High Street and film all day.

I have to say, I get lazy and rev instead of hitting the horn. Plus, it's more fun.

Yeah, the cyclist was a douche, but the Lambo driver revving his engine to 9 grand was an even bigger douche.
If I was the cyclist and I didn't pull in front of the Lambo on purpose (the cyclist in the video knew damn well what he was doing)...the Lambo driver would have some gouges on the side of his car if he acted like that to me.
I grew up riding with heavy traffic,so I'm not easily intimidated by close quarters. I have a healthy respect for cagers, but I don't back down from assholes like the Lambo driver.
